Ok where were we...

When we last "spoke" I was recovering from a vicious hangover in Lagos, Portugal. I am currently in Madrid which is only next door but we did go to Africa(boo) and back I wasn't able to do any posts because the hostel we were in didn't have good internet. More on that later. The rest of Lagos wasn't anything to wild for me.. I did manage to get drunk again and stagger around without spewing this time!! Portugal is a nice place.. If you're ever in the area I suggest you take a wander over.

And now for some photos...

Young love.

Nonna's house in Lagos. (Not my nonna but i'm sure she belongs to somebody)

I thought my handwriting was good.

Lad.

Lads.

Friends, How many of us have them?

Vodka counts as a friend.

These guys do too I guess.

Hey puppy.

Lagos don't like me.

There was alot of discussion as to whether or not this clown had a pulse.

Nope... Or did it?

Some cuties.

The Boss.

The man, Petey G, was the last part of lagos captured. The last night there was a quiet night. We had a 6am bus and the bus port was a walk away so we decided to rest up for our 4 hour road trip to Seville, Spain.. Easy right? WRONG! It's funny how when you need to have a quiet night the interruptions are constant and original each time. Interruptions included..

  1. Loud locals.
  2. Even louder lost tourists. One, named Amy, who wouldn't stop crying,
  3. Nonna busting in at the wee hours to turn off our air con with her remote (we didn't get remote privileges) and it was hot as fuck at Nonna's.
  4. A garbage truck, our window was road level.
  5. Dogs.
  6. More locals and wait for it....
  7. ROOSTERS!! Come on guys, now you're just being ridiculous!
So Seville was the destination.. We were only there for a night which wasn't enough in my opinion. The locations get more and more beautiful as time goes by.

Example 1. Our hostel.

Example 2. The lady on the almost roof.

Example 3. The view from the roof, roof.

Example 4. The view looking down from the roof, roof.

Example 5. Look down any street.

That's kind of all I got to see of Seville.. Really would've been nice to stay longer there and done maybe less/no day's in Africa. OH WELLSSSSS

Which brings me to my next stop... Sadly.

Update soon.

Missin' everyone.. Except you.

Dear friends,

You may have noticed I haven't updated in about 6 days. Reason being that the internet in AFRICA(that's right, africa) SUCKS!

Not to mention everything. I'm done with 3rd world countries! About 10 hours before we were due to fly out I got a gastric virus! Great times! The flight to Madrid(current location) nearly killed me. Suicide and the idea of my own bed have never seemed more appealing.

So big update coming soon. Sit tight.

Love you.

Portugalifragilisticexpialidocious!

Ola Bitches! Currently living in Lagos/paradise where it is mother effin' hot (as are the women) the food is cheap and delicious, the beaches are amazing and my bed is 5 foot 11 inches long. I'm about 6'2" so you can see how awesome that is.

DC, Stiffy and I kissed Lisbon goodbye and set off to the bus station Lagos bound. We strolled up to the counter and promptly asked the senor at the counter for three tickets to Lagos! Yayayayay.

"Nope."

So turns out the bus we had planned to be on didn't have 3 seats to spare so we had to burn two hours at the bus station while we waited for our bus which was then, a four hour trip from Lisboa. Good timesssssss.

But we made it! And the place is, again, Beautiful.
View from the balcony.

Our Bathroom even has a sink next to the toilet so you can wash your face and go to the toilet at the same time! Weird I know but sure why not?*
Honk if you're horny.

The beaches have castles here.. Just because.

And a couple of familiar faces :D

Ok, enough scenery, here's a tale of my first drunken experience in Europe. It took me about a week before I decided I was gonna go through with the task. I forgot to mention that I have had a sickwickedawesomerad bout of the flu since I landed in LDN. Which has featured everything from a chesty cough to sinuses so congested that I have a migraine from it, awesome I know.

But I wasn't going to let that stop me.. The night started here.

Correction.. ALL of our nights in Lagos have started here. One Fat Monkey Diner is for lack of a better word, amazing. It features a small but varied menu with all meals priced at 5 Euros. It is here where I popped my Portuguese peri peri cherry. They also offer a "Power hour" Where for another 5 Euro it's unlimited wine or beer for the hour. I chose not to take part.

After dinner we strolled past this little bar called, "Inside Out" We bumped into a bro that has been nothing but helpful to us and we somehow got on the topic of black vodka. We had no idea what the fuck black vodka was so he took us into the bar and insisted we all have a shot. The bar manager there, who's name has escaped me, was a FUCKING LORD!! This dude was from brazil, around my age and originally went to lagos for a 3 month vacation.. That was 3 years ago!

Anyways, HE insisted that if we were going to try black vodka, we HAD TO have a shot of caramel vodka to chase it... Sure, I mean, why not?

He poured up 16 shots 8 of black and 8 of Caramel. He walked up to his laptop and selected a song for us to shoot to, the Macarena. We had the shots, they were amazing. We asked bro how much it was all worth and he said 2 Euros each person! I insisted that he took a 5 Euro tip which he dunked into a bucket hanging above his head and rang this bell in celebration. Then dude insisted we have his favourite, The Reggae Shot. Ok sure.

So we have this amazing 4 layered shot and then chat about bongos, capoiera and his girlfriend who is from Geelong.. Time to hit the road.

We headed over to Sezzy's hostel, The Rising Cock. This place has a Reputation of being a party hostel full of drunken Aussies so who am I to go against tradition. Poison of the night was Vodka, Apple juice and drinking games.

At midnight all the punters get kicked out of the hostel and set off into the clubs.. All except for one man.. Myself. I don't remember taking or having any of these photos taken. I was game over!

I do actually remember this photo, I took it to remind myself of how gone I was after a certain deed went down... What is that deed you wonder? Scroll down to find out.

Yeah I did! So much! It was at this point the night was over.. About 12:30 hahaha DC walked me home and tucked me in(actually) and I was forever grateful, and hungover.
Props to Stephanie Jane Bourke for capurting the moment. I'm sure it's not the last time she will.

*Note: I know what a bidet is and I didn't wash my face in it.. But the water did taste funny.

Portugal; A quest for Nandos.

Ola friends! Welcome to Portugal!

Where the current temperature is:

The streets are long and the hills are tall.

And the buildings are fkin' beautiful! Put your hands up for Lisbon, I love this city!

Now, I thought the buildings in Ldn were nice, this place made me actually think, "I never want to go home."

And it finally made me realise why people say Perth sucks.*

I'd recommend checking out the large size of this photo.. It actually made me cry a little bit when I saw it.. Better then a double rainbow.

And again.

DC booked us at this hostel in the centre of Lisbon which was actually phenomenal! The inside looked like it was decked out by some cool guy that plays the saxophone, reads artist biographies and plays chess in his spare time.

This is the view from our room.

We headed out on the town and stumbled upon this little bar that had been open only a couple of weeks. It was previously a tackle shop and the new owners decided to leave it that theme. So rad, such a friendly pair and the drinks were real cheap. Good times.

Translation: No entry except large tomatoes.

GFL for life.

We heard that Lisbon has the biggest aquarium in Europe.. This is not it.

Whale Skeleton made of cans.

This on the otherhand is.

It wasn't that good. But it made me think if i were to come back as a creature it would be these guys.. That or an owl.
It's right about here where I stopped taking photos of Lisbon..
Next stop. Lagos.

Oh and I just remembered.. After strolling the many high hills of Lisboa we discovered that THERE IS NO NANDOS IN PORTUGAL!!!!! IT'S ALL A LIE!!!
Well, the Peri Peri part isn't but Nando's is apparently South African owned.

Cunts.

*I still love Perth
