Yonjour!

Hello my fishy little friends! It's a short time between post's but I figure I should make the most of this glorious internet while I still can.

On this chapter I walk you through our time in Paris, city of lurrrveeeee. (Gross)

We headed into Paris a day early from San Seb via speedtrain, in luxury. These trains were sweeeeet. All the little Frenchies were scared to sit with us so we had a cabin to ourselves.

We first had to catch a train to the border and with 1 and a half hours to burn between trains we went to the supermarket to stock up on supplies.. Like Mickey Mouse meat (MMM)

The trip took some time but I kept myself busy with lollies...

And gave Steph a crash course in photography using cheese as our subject.

We arrived in France, sans accommodation, but headed to our hostel with the hope of scoring some beds for the night. What we didn't know was that our hostel was quite busy and popular in ol' Pari' so we couldn't get anything. The staff called up another place that had a room for us so after a lengthy stroll we arrived at the Peace and Love hostel, which sounded cool on the way and looked cool when we arrived, but upon checking into our room was told that we were in the, "sandwich room" which we had no idea what it was/meant. This is what we found when we opened the door.
A room smaller then any room I've ever seen with nothing but a sink, shower, cupboard and DOUBLE BED! That's right a double bed for three of us.. That explains why the guy at the counter called it the sandwich.

Room with a view!
Luckily it was only for a night and we got into our hostel early and began exploring.

We were right near the water and along the edge was a nice area for people to bbq, drink, play bocce or table tennis(?)

Parisienne travel pack.

Truck.

This shop stole the name for my next mix.

One thing I like about Paris is, and I know all the other cities have statues, but they paint them gold which really gives them a zing! This is the Opera house in Paris.. Take that Sydney!

Kept hearing about some "tower" something that we had to check out?

Who's that hiding behind the trees??

Oh hello Eiffel Tower.. I didn't see you over there.

Parked up at the Tower for lunch. We didn't have cups for wine so Dean got creative with a water bottle.

This next photo requires some explanation.. We went for a stroll under the tower and I was confronted by some French ladies. "We need you to kiss our friend!" I was unsure why and they explained. One woman came rushing up and said to me, "I am getting married tomorrow and I need to kiss as many men as I can." Me: "Uhhhh ok" So she whacked on some lippy and gave me a smooch on the cheek. She agreed to have a photo but got distracted and ran off. The photo was taken anyway and just as it snapped this guy, who sold souvenirs around the tower photobombed leaving us with this great little snap.

Aeroplanes leave trails in the sky. Europe does everything better!

Paris was the first city where people are able to make use of the automatic bike hire without being a citizen or having a perminant address.

And so that is precisely what we did!

I would of preferred to roll in style like these mofo's but every penny counts.

Hiring bikes to see a city is definitely the best way to get around.. This I cannot stress enough.

Went past the home of Daft Punk.

This is the water that our hostel ran along.. That's our hostel, St Christopher's on the right.

Bridge with some more love based graffiti again.

Bonjour Egghead.

Fixy Lords lording outside the Louvre.

Invasions.

There was a fresh food market right near our place that cranked every Sunday.. This was the aftermath.

Don't fall on the tracks you French fucker.

Our last night we parked up at the Eiffel Tower again around sunset with all the necessities. Wine, Cheese, Olives, Baguettes, Proscuito and Petey G.

The tower is more amazing at night.

On a sappier note. The highlight of the France, for me, was the fact that I got to see my Cousin Kim for the first time in, what I didn't realise was, 8 years! She tee'd up our accommodation, gave us some good direction and generally looked after us and to that I give a public thanks. This is us being gaylords :D

Peace for now friends. Next stop is Amsterdam.
